Although a National Historic Landmark, Springside Landmark Restoration (SLR) does not receive any operating support from New York State or the Federal Government.

Instead, SLR relies on the generosity of donors to help keep the carriage trails open and preserve and restore the landscape and built structures such as the Porter’s Lodge – the sole surviving building – and the Academy Street wall.

There are several ways to support SLR, an all-volunteer, not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization that manages, restores, and maintains Springside’s 20-acres.

Center Circle Society $1,000

The Center Circle Society is named after Springside's circular meadow, which remains one of the most striking open spaces of Andrew Jackson Downing's design. As recognition for their generosity, donors to this society will receive a Springside tote bag and a copy of the book The History of Landscape Design in 100 Gardens, featuring a history of Springside and other notable landscape designs.

Willow Spring Society Consecutive Giving

The Willow Spring Society is named after the fresh water spring that give the site its name. This society honors those loyal donors who have made consecutive gifts to SLR for three or more years.

Bench Sponsor $1,500

Sponsorship will support the dedication of new bench along the historic carriage trails or on a knoll.

Tree Sponsor $250

Sponsorship will support the planting of a new tree around Center Circle, along Walnut Row, in Evergreen Park, or in the Orchard.

Matching Gift

Matching gifts may double or triple your gift! Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees. Ask your employer for a Matching Gift Form and send it with your check to Springside Landscape Restoration or mail it separately after you have donated or become a member on line.

A gift of appreciated securities, including stocks or bonds, is an easy way to make a gift to Springside Landscape Restoration. Hudson River Valley Greenway

The Springside Walking Tour is funded, in part, by a grant from the Hudson River Valley Greenway.

The land that now comprises Springside is part of the homelands of the Munsee Lenape, Indigenous peoples who have an enduring connection to this place.
