Just as Vassar did over a century ago, we encourage the public to enjoy the grounds. Springside offers meandering carriage trails and rolling hills for walkers, joggers, and skiers; interesting birds and native plants and trees for nature lovers, beautiful views and changing scenery for artists; and a great escape for those in search of solitude. Leashed dogs love it, too!

Self-guided Tours
Two self-guided tours are available that take visitors on a stroll past Springside’s most interesting trees or on a journey through Springside’s history from 1850 to the present. You can pick up tour brochures at the kiosk near the Springside parking area or download and print your own.
