4. GOLD FISH POND
SLR plans to restore or reimagine this water element in Downing’s design. Among the elements of landscape gardening, Downing placed trees and grass as the two greatest. Of water, Downing considered: "A river, or a lake in which the skies and the 'tufted trees' may see themselves reflected, is ever an indispensable feature to a perfect landscape."
